How Purchasing Works
Complete your purchase through our online store. After checkout, you’ll be asked to provide the information needed to arrange your animal’s shipping or pickup. Shipping dates are subject to weather conditions and animal safety. If we need any additional information, a Snake Discovery team member will contact you.
Shipping vs. Local Pickup
Shipping: Live animals can be shipped within the continental U.S. Shipping dates are scheduled based on weather conditions and the safety of the animal. Depending on temperatures, shipment to an approved FedEx hub may be required.
Local Pickup: Animals may also be picked up in person at Snake Discovery in Maplewood, Minnesota. After purchase, you’ll be able to provide your pickup information so we can coordinate getting your new animal to you.
Whether you choose shipping or local pickup, we’ll make sure you have the information you need before your animal comes home.
Live Arrival & Weather Policy
We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee for all animals shipped by Snake Discovery. If there are any concerns upon arrival, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery. We ask that you provide photos and/or video whenever possible so our team can assess the situation and determine what may have occurred.
For the safety of the animal, weather conditions may affect how and when we ship. If temperatures are expected to be above 85°F or below 40°F, the animal must be shipped to an approved FedEx hub for pickup.
Snake Discovery will not ship live animals when temperatures are expected to exceed 100°F or fall below 10°F. Shipping may be delayed until conditions are safe.
